Chaplain Vacancies
Hospital Chaplaincy Aotearoa is a registered charitable organisation, formed by nine partner denominations. We are committed to promoting, maintaining and developing, relevant, flexible, and competent Chaplaincy services within the Aotearoa New Zealand healthcare environment.
The primary purpose of our ministry is to foster good health through excellence in pastoral care. Our Chaplains stand alongside other healthcare professionals in the hospital setting. We are committed to the principles of partnership expressed in the Treaty of Waitangi. Spiritual care and support is provided by Christian Chaplains in the most appropriate way for all healthcare clients, regardless of religious denomination, faith-orientation, beliefs, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation. Clients are at liberty to access the spiritual care of their choice. Our Chaplains’ role is to coordinate that process.
Sorry, we don't have any roles available at the moment. Please check back later!
Become a Volunteer
Chaplains rely on the support of kind and compassionate people to continue the great work they do.
Volunteering with a local team involves working alongside the chaplains to help provide pastoral care to friends, family, patients, and healthcare staff.
We're often looking for Voluntary Chaplain Assistants so if it's something you'd like to know more about then we'd love to hear from you!
